The Ecosystem Services Partnership aims to facilitate discussion and cooperation amongst its members. Since 2008 ESP has organized an annual World Conference but as of 2016 ESP will shift to a bi-annual cycle for the World Conferences with Regional conferences in the in between year. In 2016 five Regional Conferences weill be organized (see below) which provide an ideal opportunity for the many working groups and national networks in the region to get together, and strengthen the relationship with other networks and partners in the region.

Asian conference on Ecosystem Services for Nature Based Solutions, 30 May-3 June 2016, S.Korea
From 30 May – 3 June 2016 the Korean network on Ecosystem Services (KESNET), together with the Ecosystem Services Partnership and many Asian partners, will organise a training (30-31 May) and conference (2-3 June) to "Reconnect People with Ecosystems to achieve Nature-based Solutions for Environmental and Socio-economic Problems" in Ansan City, S.Korea. More than 15 Countries will be represented and engage in over 15 Thematic Workshops. Please join the conference to share ideas, find partners and discuss future collaboration and establish an Asian Ecosystem Services Network!

European Ecosystem Services Conference, 19-23 September 2016, Belgium
From 19-23 September 2016 the European Ecosystem Services Conference 'Helping nature to help us' will take place in Antwerp, Belgium. The conference is organized by several EU funded research projects (OPERAs and OpenNESS), ECOPLAN and the Ecosystem Services Partnership (ESP), and hosted by the University of Antwerp. It will be the biggest European event in 2016 that links science, policy and practice on ecosystem services and natural capital.
This is your chance to help shape the programme by demonstrating your work, organizing a side-event, or running a scientific session. Send us your session proposal by 1 February 2016. Full guidelines for submitting a proposal are on the conference website.
Latin American Conference, 18-22 October, 2016, Colombia
The Latin American Conference will be organised from 18-22 October 2016, in Cali, Colombia at the CIAT Campus. This conference themed 'Healthy ecosystems for resilient societies' will convene scientists, policy makers and practitioners to discuss the role that ecosystem services can play to reduce socioeconomic tensions in the region and achieve sustainable and inclusive development. The conference sessions will explore different solutions to human-nature conflicts and review the scientific evidence of their effectiveness. Participants will discuss how an ecosystem services approach can set societies on a path towards inclusiveness, resilience, and environmental justice. Africa conference on Ecosystem Services, 21-25 November 2016, Kenya
The first Conference of the Regional Africa chapter will be held in Nairobi, Kenya on November 21-25 2016. The conference theme will be “Ecosystem Services for SDGs in Africa” and discussions will focus on Africa’s contribution towards data/evidence on best practices for management, rehabilitation, and restoration of ecosystem services for decision making particularly towards the realization of sustainable development goals. We hope the conference will accelerate collaboration in Africa on the science, policy and practice of the Ecosystem Services concept and initiate a strong Africa Ecosystem Services Network. ACES and ESP conference on Ecosystem Services, 5-9 December 2016, Florida, USA
ACES: A Community on Ecosystem Services represents a dynamic and growing assembly of professionals, researchers, and policy makers involved with ecosystem services. The ACES 2016 Conference brings together this community in partnership with Ecosystem Markets and the Ecosystem Services Partnership (ESP), providing an open forum to share experiences, methods, and tools, for assessing and incorporating ecosystem services into public and private decisions.
