The Ecosystem Services Partnership Privacy Policy

Thank you for visiting es-partnership.org and reviewing our privacy statement. The Ecosystem Services Partnership does not collect personal information about visitors to our website unless you choose to provide that information to us.

 IP Addresses

When you visit our website, we automatically collect and store the IP address from which you access our website in order to make improvements. This information is stored and used in aggregate only and is not used to contact you personally.

 Use of “Cookies”

This website uses cookies. A cookie is a small, simple file that is sent with pages from this website and saved on your computer’s hard drive by your browser. Sending ESP Your Personal Information

The Ecosystem Services Partnership will only collect personal information that you knowingly and voluntarily provide us, for example, sending emails, responding to surveys and completing membership forms and registering for events (ESP conferences).

We may use this information to respond to an email or other inquiry or request, to help improve our website and our services, to customize your experience at our website, or to send updates or notices about our organization, the events we organise and the services we offer, that we think may be of interest to you. We may also combine this information with other generally or publicly available information to help us identify visitors’ preferences or interests. We may provide information that identifies you to organisations that assist us in these activities, such as helping us organise the conferences or maintain our website.

ESP collects information from its members (including names, addresses, phone numbers and email addresses) for inclusion in our membership database. Access to this information is also available only ESP members and you can choose to limit what personal information your profile displays during the registration process or by updating your member profile at any time after registration. ESP will not sell or rent limited data to third parties.

ESP conferences

When you register to the conference, ESP will make accepted abstracts publicly available in PDF. Your name, affiliation and e-mail address will be included in the Book of Abstracts to facilitate information exchange. Your name, affiliation, country, and e-mail address will also be distributed to the conference participants in a participant list. Pictures taken during the conference may be used publicly.

Sensitive information provided for the purpose of ESP conference registration and issue of invitation letters will be deleted 3 months after the conference ends and not be kept in our database, nor in the CMS of the event. Only the names, affiliations and emails of the participants will be kept in order to send updates or notices about our organization, the events we organise and the services we offer, that we think may be of interest to you.

User ID and Password

Certain areas of the site may require the use of a user ID, email address or password as an additional security measure that helps protect your information.

How You Can Control and Update Data About You

We want to be sure we keep only the most accurate and up-to-date information about you in our records. Whenever you believe that your contact information needs to be updated, you can update your profile or email us at [email protected] to correct or update your contact information.

You may choose at any time to remove your name, telephone and fax numbers, and postal and email addresses from the lists we use to send notices or updates and elect not to receive correspondence from us by emailing at [email protected] You can unsubscribe from our monthly newsletter by clicking Unsubscribe on the bottom of the newsletter.

ESP reserves the right at any time and without notice to change this Privacy Policy simply by posting such changes on our website. Any such changes will be effective immediately upon posting. The date of the last revision will be indicated by the “Last Updated” date at the bottom of this page.
