Workshops – Seminars
Two workshops will be organized within 2017 in Athens/Patras and Thessaloniki (one in spring 2017 and one in autumn 2017). Details will be provided soon.
Cooperation with networks
- The first opportunity will be the ‘Mapping and Assessment of Ecosystem Services -Science in Action’ conference in Sofia, Bulgaria of 6-7th of February 2017. During this conference representatives of ESP networks in neighbouring countries will also be present and the topics of networking and collaboration will be on the agenda there.
- One of the priority activities for HESP is to seek cooperation with ESP networks and other professionals regarding ES in neighbouring countries for cross border collaboration on joint research and for bidding on project of various donor programmes. A first step regarding that was made with the project proposal for an Interreg programme. HESP members will also participate in conferences regarding ecosystem services.
Participation in International Conferences-Workshops
- The network of active members for implementing the ES and MAES in Greece, as represented in the Scientific-Technical Committee and accompanied by additional members from Patras and Thessaloniki Universities submitted the abstract “Drafting the national agenda for the implementation of the Ecosystem Services mapping and assessment in the Greek territory” in the International Scientific Conference “MAPPING AND ASSESSMENT OF ECOSYSTEM SERVICES – SCIENCE IN ACTION” to be held in Sofia 6-7 February 2015. The abstract was accepted by the scientific reviewers and the article will be presented in session 3 “Mapping and assessment of ecosystem services – biophysical perspective”.
