The Leibniz Centre for Agricultural Landscape Research (ZALF) is seeking a PhD researcher to join two innovative projects: KICS-ZERT and DAKIS. These projects focus on integrating AI and citizen science to improve biodiversity monitoring and conservation, contributing to sustainable agricultural practices and ecosystem services.
About the Role
The successful candidate will explore practical applications of AI-supported biodiversity assessments, developing business models and policy instruments that align with real-world conservation goals. The position is part of the Governance of Ecosystem Services working group, which addresses challenges in delivering societally desired ecosystem services through empirical research and interdisciplinary collaboration.
- German and English proficiency required
- Advantage: Social Science Quantitative methods experienced (e.g. Factorial Survey Experiment)
