The Institute of Physical Geography and Landscape Ecology at the Faculty of Natural Sciences at Leibniz University Hanover invites applications for a University Professorship (m/f/d) of Salary Scale W2 NBesO in Digital Landscape Ecology starting April 1st, 2022.
The scientific focus will be on digital mapping, modelling and analysis of landscape structures, processes and resulting ecosystem functions. In addition to the willingness for interdisciplinary cooperation in the fields of Geography, Landscape ecology, Geoinformatics, Agricultural and Environmental Sciences for innovative mapping and assessment of ecosystem services at the Institute of Physical Geography and Landscape Ecology, cooperation with relevant institutions in Hannover is also expected. In teaching, the full spectrum of Physical Geography (including teacher education) has to be covered. In the Master’s program “Landscape Sciences”, an excellent representation of landscape ecology with modern concepts and methods is expected. The successful candidate will be expected to hold selected courses in English.
