ACES 2024 – calling for sessions
ACES: The Community on Ecosystem Services
December 9-12, 2024 | Austin, Texas, USA
ACES represents a dynamic and growing international assembly of professionals, researchers, and policymakers involved with ecosystem services. The ACES Conference brings together this community providing an open forum to share experiences, methods, and tools for assessing and incorporating ecosystem services into public and private decisions. Participants will include individuals with interests in resource management, restoration, institutions, policy, government, business, academia, conservation, urban and non-urban development, and more!
The organizers have issued a Call for Session Proposals. Submissions are due April 5. Sessions will focus on a diverse range of topics including Investing in Ecosystem Services, Equity in Ecosystem Services, Resilience in Ecosystem Services, and a range of other themes relevant to ecosystem services. SER continental conferences 2024
The Society for Ecological Restoration is holding two continental conferences in 2024.
The SER North American Conference will take place in Vancouver, Canada on 28 October to 1 November 2024. The call for contributed presentations is now open. You can find out more here.

Tenure Track Position as WG Lead on “Agricultural Sociology: Acceptance and Transformation Research”
The Leibniz Centre for Agricultural Landscape Research (ZALF) is looking for a working group lead on agricultural sociology. The position will be located in the Research Area “Land Use and Governance” within the Working Group “Co-Design of Change and Innovation” The working group focuses on the actors of agricultural landscapes with their values, norms, interests and knowledges as well as their actions in the context of transformation, change and innovation processes. Overall, the work aims to develop an integrative concept for change and innovation processes in agricultural landscapes.
