The Green Talent project is the first training school dedicated to Research and Innovation (R&I) support, knowledge valorisation (turning research into practical socio-economic value), and pioneering research to address the biodiversity and climate crises through systemic solutions.

Why apply?
The three-day intensive event aims to bridge the gap between academic theory and real-world impact. In addition to the focus on scientific approaches to address biodiversity and climate challenges together, the attendees will dive into practical, critical pillars of modern research support.
The Training School will be delivered by expert partners from Leibniz University Hannover, Maynooth University, Pensoft, SWECO, and Ecostack Innovations, offering a rich blend of perspectives and actionable insights on 5 modules:
- Core scientific frameworks covering biodiversity decline and strategies for climate resilience.
- Systemic and Nature-Based Solutions
- Open Data Sharing & Science Communication to the public and policymakers.
- Infrastructure & Grant Management of R&I projects
- Legal compliance with regulatory frameworks that govern international environmental research.
Co-Creating a Landmark Special Issue
A major highlight of the event will be an exclusive workshop led by the University of Helsinki. The workshop is dedicated to designing a special issue focused on the Biodiversity-Climate-Society Nexus. More information in the upcoming months.
