Tools, Policies, and Promising Pathways – Spotlight on UN Decade on Restoration

This ESP Webinar brings together editors/authors/experts/ ESP members to launch the ‘Special Issue’ “Incorporating Ecosystem Services into Water Resource Management – Tools, Policies, and Promising Pathways“ published in Journal Environmental Management (Springer). The webinar will facilitate discussion as to how emerging scholarship on ecosystem services and water resources management can best support the mandate outlined by UN Decade of Ecosystem Restoration and related sustainability agenda’s like SDG’s.
The United Nations Decade of Ecosystem Restoration: a call for the protection and revival of ecosystems worldwide for the benefit of people and nature. Only with healthy ecosystems can we improve people’s livelihoods, combat climate change, halt the collapse of biodiversity and archive food, water and energy security. The UN Decade runs from 2021-2030, in tandem with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the timeline that scientists have identified as the last chance to prevent catastrophic climate change.
