As part of the scoping processes for the thematic assessment of the interlinkages among biodiversity, water, food and health (“nexus assessment”) and the thematic assessment of the underlying causes of biodiversity loss, determinants of transformative change and options for achieving the 2050 vision for biodiversity (“transformative change assessment”) of IPBES, two online conferences will be held. They are tentatively scheduled as follows:
- 30 September – 2 October 2019: Online conference to seek input for the scoping process for the nexus assessment
- 9 – 11 October 2019: Online conference to seek input for the scoping process for the transformative change assessment
These online conferences are intended to give Governments and other stakeholders an opportunity to provide early input to the scoping process in order to increase the policy-relevance of the scoping reports.
Each online conference will be held over three days and give an opportunity for participants to provide input regarding specific themes related to the respective assessment. More information on the online conferences will be made available shortly on the IPBES website. Participation in these online conferences will require participants to be registered users on the IPBES website.
