Call for experts EKLIPSE on Common Agricultural Policy (CAP)

EKLIPSE is inviting experts to join an expert working group to develop recommendations for Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) measures to improve biodiversity and related ecosystem services, with a focus on Ecological Focus Areas–this is a direct policy request from IUCN and the Swedish Board of Agriculture.

Reports on ecosystem market mechanisms in Europe

The ECOSTAR Hub has published three original new reports benchmarking for the first time the size, scope, and scale of ecosystem market mechanisms in Europe for voluntary carbon, watershed investments, and biodiversity offsets and compensation. The reports have been developed by Ecosystem Marketplace and Etifor.

Sapienza-ICRAF Knowledge-sharing Event

The knowledge-sharing event is on the topic From Payments to Co-investments in Ecosystem Services held by The International Centre for Research in Agroforestry (ICRAF).  (ICRAF)-World    Agroforestry Centre  of  the  CGIAR  system –has  worked  on operationalising payments for ecosystem services  (PES)  schemes  in  Asia,  since  2002, throughthe   IFAD-funded Rewarding   Upland Poor    for    Environmental    Services    (RUPES)project phase I (2002-2005) and phase II (2008-2012), and the subsequent IFAD-funded project called Climate-smart,  tree-based,  co-investment in  adaptation  an  mitigation  in  Asia(Smart-Tree Invest),  which  was  recently  completed  in  March 2017.
