Once more, the Ecosystem Services Partnership (ESP) network attended the 10th plenary session of the Intergovernmental Science-Policy Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services (IPBES) in Bonn. This meeting held substantial importance in the global environmental community, as it brought together recognized experts, scientists and policymakers to address the pressing issues of biodiversity and ecosystem services, to accept the recently published Alien Invasive Species Assessment and to pave the road forward for the rolling work program within IPBES up to 2030. Book on nature conservation in Europe
A recently published book by Cambridge Press, Nature Conservation in Europe edited by Graham Tucker, provides a comprehensive overview of the status of Europe’s nature, relevant threats and pressures. It also analyses the impact of human activities on ecosystems, and gives a snapshot of international and EU biodiversity policies and legislative framework.
