The international training on ecosystem management for sustainable development in transboundary areas held in Korea brought together scientist and professionals from Primorsky Krai Russia to seek out collaboration with Korean partners for ecosystem management in Northeast Asia. The international training on ecosystem management for sustainable development in transboundary areas will take place on 19 – 26 October 2017 at the DMZ Ecotourism Center located in Paju-si, Republic of Korea. This one-week course is jointly organized by ESP Asia Regional Office, Gyeonggi provincial government and Gyeonggi Tourism Organization and this year thirteen participants from Primorsky Krai, Russia will attend the course bringing with their diverse transboundary nature management experiences. ESP Asia Regional Office in collaboration with the Gyeonggi Provincial Government, organized the first DMZ International Forum on Applying Ecosystem Services for Transboundary Nature Management on 13-15 of June. The theme of the forum was “Connecting People and Nature for Peace”, while the event took place in the DMZ Eco-tourism Support Center in Paju-si.
