ESP 10: Submit a session proposal before 10 February

The 10th world conference of the Ecosystem Services Partnership will take place in Hannover, Germany from 21-25 October, 2019.

Would you like to participate in the conference as a session host? We hereby invite you to submit a session proposal related to your field of expertise and ecosystem services. The call for sessions is open from now until 10 February 2019.

Looking back at ESP Asia 2018 Conference

2018 ESP Asia Conference has been successfully held at Wildlife Institute of India (WII) in Dehradun, India on 9-12 October. We would like to give thanks to everyone who kept the interest and attended the conference.

The opening comprised of the special ritual that shows the Indian culture. The conference had around 100 participants from 12 countries and 14 thematic sessions took place. For the first time at ESP conference, the ESP Asia Intergovernmental Meeting took place in the 2018 ESP Asia Conference. The delegates from 6 Asian Countries such as ROK, DPRK, Nepal, Vietnam, Philippines, and India came together to share the current trend in ES policy and implementation case study in each country. ESP Latin America conference 2018 in the news

The second ESP Latin America conference took place at Campinas, Brasil, from 22-26 October 2018. The conference was organized under the theme: Global changes, ecosystem services and multilateral agreements in Latin America and the Caribbean. Call for abstracts: abstract submission for the ESP Africa Regional Conference 2019 is now open!

This year’s Africa regional conference has the theme “Management of Ecosystem Services for Nature Conservation and Human Wellbeing in Africa” and will be held in Togo.

Interested in presenting your work in one of the thirty conference sessions? The call for abstract is now open.

The online abstract submission system is open from 16 October to 26 November 2018.

Updates from Biome Working Group 1 – Marine Systems

The Marine ESP WG would like to share with you that as part of the session that will be hosted at the ESP Europe 2018 Regional Conference, we will have 11 presentations related to mapping and modelling of marine ES. The session B1a – Marine and coastal ecosystem service mapping and modelling: moving beyond land-based adaptations will take place on Thursday the 18th of October in the morning and will be followed by an interactive discussion on the same topic.

We would also like to highlight a public-private partnership signed in Dominican Republic for the co-management of one of the largest MPAs in the Caribbean. More information can be found on the following press release.
