The EU Horizon 2020 project ESMERALDA, involving several ESP members and ESP itself as a full project partner, gathered around 100 delegates from altogether 30 European countries, representatives of the European Commission and other relevant organizations at its final Conference from June 11-13, 2018 in Brussels. On the first day, together with the EU MAES (Mapping and Assessment of Ecosystems and their Services) working group, a marketplace was organized to demonstrate different methods and tools for mapping and assessing ecosystem services.

New Co-Editors in Chief of IJBESM share their vision for the journal
On International Biodiversity Day, May 22nd 2018, the International Journal of Biodiversity Science, Ecosystem Services & Management (IJBESM) announced Alexander van Oudenhoven and Berta Martín-López as new Co-Editors-in-Chief.
