Worldwide network to enhance the science, policy and practice of ecosystem services for conservation and sustainable development
ESP connects over 3000 ecosystem services scientists, policy makers and practitioners who work together in more than 40 Working Groups and a growing number of National Networks on all continents. ESP regularly organises World and Regional conferences and provides many Services to further enhance the application of ecosystem services for nature conservation, ecosystem restoration and sustainable management. As part of the Presidency of the Estonian Republic of the Council of the European Union, a flagship conference “Nature-based Solutions: From Innovation to Common-use” will be organised by the Ministry of the Environment of Estonia and the University of Tallinn. The conference will be held in Tallinn from 24 to 26 October 2017.

ESP Asia Regional Office in collaboration with the Gyeonggi Provincial Government, organized the first DMZ International Forum on Applying Ecosystem Services for Transboundary Nature Management on 13-15 of June. The theme of the forum was “Connecting People and Nature for Peace”, while the event took place in the DMZ Eco-tourism Support Center in Paju-si.
